I had been waiting for this game to come out since they started making a Warhammer MMO in the mid to late nineties before they even started WAR. Then I started tracking WAR from the moment it was announced. Then I started dating my wife at the time it released and WAR was her first MMO and ever since we have been playing WAR together. We've made so many friends while playing and have shared so many memories while playing the game. That's why WAR/RoR is special to me :]

The joys of running my engi again....and the feeling of extreme satisfaction when Snipe puts paid to some fleeing squishy (hooray, I made it, now I can start to....crap)...that whole "no more tears, just dreams" feeling...yes, yes...that one

First and foremost:
The people you meet, unlike other MMOs you have a ridiculously easy time finding the funniest bunch of people - that's probably due to the fact that it needs alot of humor and dedication to rejoin WAR.
Knowing that alot of people have gone through the same chores on live and that I have even played with some of the folks back on live 7rs ago makes me incredibly happy; especially getting to know how their life progressed after the shutdown and that they are, for the most part, doing just great.

Then directly following it up:
Theorycrafting and the emphasis on groupplay - the level of performance you can reach if you are just dedicated and coordinated enough; the level of potency you slowly work up to, with the progress being easily trackable.

Last but not least:
Pugfarming, RvR, Warhammer setting, artstyle - breakdancing gits and lazy arse dwarfs strapped to gyrocopters never fail to amuse me.

DWARVES! They were my first warhammer army many years ago, and I've always loved the Tolkien like feeling to them. There's no good games where you can actually play a dwarf like that. I have 4 dwarves, one for each class, and they are all "brothers" with similar names. Have my own little clan going on!

That and dark Elves. Again, no other games where you can play them, so I'm happy to log in and mess around with them.

Only other faction I like is O&G. Shaman and black orc!

But most of all I enjoy the open RVR. No other MMO really did this as well as WAR has, and every class is really capable and able to solo to a degree.

The best part is they can still go against other classes decently well too. Squishy DPS can still take on others reasonably well, tanks can actually compete as well and do decent damage if played smartly. It's a great game.

every other pvp mmo has elves flying around at the speed of light. This is the only pvp mmo (played retail) where battles actually feel like two forces grinding each other to dust.

2-Everything is fun, you always have something to do and keep you busy
3-Pvp! Im a very competitive player and I love the versatility of the pvp path, and the way you can play them (and the speed)
4-You feel like you were your character! Ive felt like an immortal tower with my blork; like a small version of Legolas with a SQ, a true assassin and man hunter with my WE, etc
5-Community is so nice! I come from LoL (I havent abandoned it yet) and people i so toxic. It is true T1 scenarios are totally garbagge in destruction side and people dont know what to do, but at least you dont read insults every 2 seconds.
6-The awesome work from devs, admins and mods keep doing guys.
