Need some general help

So I played the game 8 years ago now (holy crap). It's been a long time since I've been involved, and I just started last week.

Some general questions

-is there any cities yet? I'm assuming not yet.
-is there things like lairs running still?
-seems like all RVR zones/scenarios, PQ's are working great, but path which will offer better gear?? I don't have to have the best of the best (like grinding 2 months for one shoulder drop from a rare boss) but I'd like to be somewhat competitively geared for RVR.
-good tank classes? Most all seem very balanced, but is there some that are better for groups? I play tanks as tanks, not as DPS. Iron breakers still Viable in tier 4?
-since there seems to be no cities, is there an AH to sell stuff? I got chaos black dye in my bag/ blue and purple talismans that I'd like to dump to someone and get paid decent gold for some of it!

Hi there, welcome.

Cities - no

Lairs - yes, there are lairs throughout. I would check the wiki and there's a list of lair bosses stickied to general discussion I believe.

Gear - rvr/scs will offer better gear but pve is normally faster to get and the power difference between sets is not as high as it was on live. (For lower tiers, if you can get pve sets easily it can be worth it but normally just easier to play through scs/rvr. Then once you're 32 or so join the pqs for ruin gear. While you ruin farm you can debolster into midtier to continue to gain renown. You can also do the T4 epic quests and don't forget the Skaven quests for lots of XP. Once you're 40 you can do beastlord for the T4 pve set and that will make you strong enough to participate in rvr and scs while you work towards conq, dominator.)

Tanks - On order side I would say you see ktobs > SM > IB strictly in terms of how many of them are active in T4. Same on destro it's pretty much chosen > BO > BG although with recent BG changes I see a lot more now that the class is more in line with other destro tanks.

AH - yes, AH exists and is active.

You can still go to Altdorf and Auction there. It's not a rvr zone but it's still an active zone you can play in.

Thanks for the replies! All sounds good to me. I'll probably do SC's and RVR for my gear as I used to enjoy doing it. Did my first scenario with my rank 9 engineer last night and had 50 kills and levelled to rank 8 RVR in a match or two. Fun to be back!

Excuse my ignorance, but, what does SC mean? Ive read it a tons of times

It means Scenario! So when u click the little WAR emblem beside you map and que into the big battles.
