There are a number of bugs which can cause abilities not to work at all, examples being X/Y range issues (because the server and client positions don't match) and an issue with the Zmod when relogging. Both of those would cause you to swing for no effect, and if the player you're attacking is orange (but actually flagged) this issue would appear to be caused by the /pvp bug. This is why I advised posting some evidence of the issue - to attempt to rule out these other factors.

I would also like to note (in case it isn't obvious) that if someone who is orange is attacking you, they're flagged on the server. If you attack them, you'll receive the system message saying that the player isn't flagged, but your abilities should also go through and show damage in the combat log.
These players were orange during the first skirmish, i had no problem attacking them while it was 6+ of them against me, more destro show up and only there healers were attackable, which is most likely because they were healing.
There was a kotbs along side them, not grouped with them who was always shown as red and flagged for pvp who should prolly me shown some sympathy for getting caught in the middle of destro and some clowns on order side.

There is a very easy way for them to unflag themselves, and I'm not sure that it's a bug. I'm happy to send a PM to a developer on this, but I just can't post it here, or everyone will do it.

I would advise raising it on the github. It's much easier for us to see, and you can provide better evidence and such there.

Reminder: If people knowingly exploit bugs to benefit for themselves, and harm other players in game repeatedly, will face the appropriate punishment for doing so :D

Play nicely, children!

Bump, hope devs can figure this out, so annoying especially for lair boss fights.

Only if the supplied deci armor has sheep fur textures.

On the other side, i harmed other players in game repeatedly with axes and hammers and faced often the appropriate punishment for doing so.

Seriously: devs said they will remove all medallions and deci armor when the lootsystem is fixed. So i don't think it's a big problem; at this point probably 95% off all deci armor that is available ingame is referable to the bug.

You have some real luv for sheep, you sure ya not from wales ? :D

I hope they do remove all medallions, but deci armor wud be kinda harsh, especially as ppl buy it.
When lootsystem does get fixed i think it would be a wise move to also reduce every players gold to a set amount as ppl have benefited hugely from medallion bug as well as other bugs.

Great suggestion. I especially like the part where flagging people automatically means that there will be incessant griefing and camping of spawnpoints. Period.
