Char wipe, can we get them restored

Dear RoR staff,

Me and my friend were taking a break from RoR, untill some issues on the server got resolved. We had all intentions on getting back after a while.

Now we see that our chars are not here yet, and we did spend a lot of time on our chars, not to mention we earned a lot of gold, that now seems lost.

In regards that we never recieved a mail of a char wipe if we did not log in before a certain date, is it then possible to get those chars restored?

As stated above, we were not leaving the server, we just took a break untill some of the server issues/bugs were fixed, and then we would resume.

No.

Chars who were deleted who were inactive before April last year cannot been restored.

I'm no staff, but you will see the same answer by the staff at several other of these whipped char topics.

Characters deleted at the char whipe or deleted when you select them to be deleted in your game client are lost forever.

Sadly there is nothing to be done about that.

We never recieved any information that we had to be online to not get our accounts deleted..

And as i stated in my post, we took a break to wait for the server to fix some issues, and one of them was a severe lag issues, wich i also posted in november 2015.

After the lag issues, not to mention all the DDOS attacks, we decided to take a break and come back when we assumed many of theese and other issues there was would be resolved. I even had following message from Webmaster Yaliskah on one of my previously post:

lag reasons :

1- Frequent DDOS ATTACKS : Solution : none. If you have a solution, tell us.

2- Initial core of the Emu ( wasn't made at the beginning to host so much players ) : On rewriting : ETA : no idea.

3- Actual emu code not optimized : On rework : ETA : Weeks

4- DB not optimised : Reworked. Tested? : Dunno On live : I don't think.

So who can blame us for taking a break, and then come back. But we come back to no chars, and as i said, we had a lot of gold we farmed as well.

In my opinion erazing chars that are inactive withouth giving a warning isnt quite fair.
There should be a policy to restore chars that were deleted when players Arent informed about this by mail.

Because it says alpha on the homepage. Didnt you read what to expect from an alpha server?

That there was no warning isn't exactly true, that it would happen was posted about 2-4 weeks before the actual wipe on the forums. Perhaps that's not the same as sending an email, but is it not reasonable to presume that people who are still interested in playing on here will check the forums, if nothing else, at least every few weeks or so, for updates on the game?

Well.. I wasent logging in on the forums to check for char data wipe.

We were just waiting some time, and hoped you resolved the lag fix, and maybe all the DDOS attacks stopped at some point, because playing at that time was not fun with 2 - 8 sec delay.

And yeah i do know its an alpa stage the server is at atm. But we did lvl our toons to the max lvl at that time, knowing it would be deleted when it went live.

But lvling them again, to get an additional wipe is not just fun... One time could do it, but not twice.

Characters that were wiped hadn't logged in since before T4 was released. It doesn't take that long to get up to a competitive set of gear in T4, and the grind through T2/T3 is much better than it ever was since most EU times have active RvR and both tiers were merged.

We can't bring back what was wiped. There's nothing to bring it back from. All we can do is keep adding reasons for you to get over that anxiety of having to level up. Don't worry, we'll keep adding, you just come back when you're ready.

With a friend, you can level to 40 within a few days, and amass gold incredibly easy.
