If fall damage is fixed, does this mean when I punt people off cliffs in Thunder Mountain and Dragonwake, they will take damage? Or does being knockbacked make you immune to fall dmg?

This happened to me once. I was in Altdorf and clicked on a vendor in the war quarters and whoosh! Off I went. If you get stuck on a piece of environment (rock, tree branch, fence) and seem to hang in place, stuck in a falling animation, the chances are if you leave it alone for long enough you will end up "falling" for lethal damage.
Next time when this happens try typing .u in /say -it has helped me many times.

I believe it was intended to help people who get stuck on ledges or clipped into rocks get out without having to resort to logging out, crashing the client or being unable to use the book of binding or guild scrolls because they were stuck in combat. Just don't go jumping around on funny shaped rocks or ledges or trees or buildings if you want to be in the area, because you might get caught and die.

Problem is that its happening to fast, sometimes you just jump on a simple rock and get instantly rekt by 7-8k dmg, it wasn't like this some patches ago tbh.

This happened so often to me since I play on this Server.
Its the animations fault. You get stuck for 5 seconds in some sort of gap/cliff/edge whatever, you will die due to the f***d up falling animation.
My biggest problem with WAR since it existed was the clunky and totally shitty game engine. That makes you stuck into oblivion because it has absolutely no tolerance and self"fixing" run-around mechanics, nor other sort's that would help. Also round objects are in fact invisible edgy pieces of crap. But whatever... we are used to it... I am 100% sure, that if Developers would have used a proper Engine for its time, the game would've been (even beside its unbalanced unfinished unpolished state) a much bigger success.

You don't need to get stuck. For last ~two weeks or so something is botched.
Just jump around on "The Apex" stairs. You will get yourself killed. Without need to be stuck for few seconds before.
