First- none RDPS don't need guard because they hit enemies from distance and don't need guard because they don't get damages from their targets which are usually tanks and melee dps. WE and WH don't need guard to protect themselves against RDPS because they just go incognito and WH have buff to 100% disprupt, don't know what have WE. WL don't need guard to protect himself from RDPS because: He can attack by lion, use pounce, pull him to himself or just use detanout which work 15 sec and is 15 sec CD on single target. I don't play Mara so I don't know what he have RDPS. That's why choppa should not loose his 50% armour in berserk and slayer not should loose his 50% resistances in berserk. Choppa as orc chief is heavy armoured warrior and slayer just don't use armour but he as dwarf have high natural resistances against magic. Another cheange which is needed is replace slayer corporeal resistance from Annihilator and Merc on spiritual resistance bonus. With choppa im not sure. With this cheanges slater have defeance against sorcerer and magus and choppa have defeance against enginner and shadow warrior and they both can normal play without guard like all other classes.

I repeat what about It is: Why slayer and choppa as only 2 toons in game must have guard because without them, enemy RDPS killing them without none problem? They must have guard for the simple reason that in the right hands the class is insanely powerful. Slayer and to a lesser extent chopper are monsters with support that offsets their squishyness. Back on live in sov mine could 3 shot a squshy.

The amount of direct damage you can do is in direct proportion to how squishy you are in most areas of this game. There is a reason builds used to be referred to as "glass cannon".

I, nor most players who post on the forums, care about how a class functions In a vacuum. The class is built to function within a group. With guard and heals. Regardless of which dps or what build, you are squishy! Even the most hyper defended tank can be melted when facing particular opposition outside of support.

In terms of "needing" a guard, I'd say All MDPS are fairly equal. Just at different stages.

How about this, try something different. Getting dotted to death constantly? Roll with CW3 and see how that helps. Crit burst? Roll TB. Melee trained? Parry and riposte, pop your M1 and laugh. Are these meta awesome specs? No. But don't just keep trying the same thing over and over expecting a different result, while telling the world that they are all dumb...

It's hard to find tank and healer for SC. Slayer and choppa are treat by enemies like a meat because their defeance suck. You can make defeance against melee attacks and range attacks but you don't have enought good dps. That's why must go in berserk and use flanking, total +65% damages. I think my idea to not loose by slayer resistances in berserk and armour by choppa is really, really cool. Because if they even have good defeance against melee, they die from range too easy. And hold resistances for slayer (defeance against sorcerer/magus) and hold armour for choppa in berserk ( defeance against shadow warrior/enginner). And what is much important, all talismans and gear you must make for max weapon skill bonus because they both don't have none skill for armour penetration that's why there is not enougt points for defeance against melee attacks, range attacks and dps.
