Here's a small addon that shows you the population in your current zone.
Zonepop will update after loading a zone or when instructed by /slash command
! Remmember to Uncheck "System General" message filter in your chat tab, or it will get spammed with the search data from Zonepop !

Usage:
/Zonepop or RightClick the Zonepop window To update the current zone population
LeftClick and drag the Zonepop window to move it
/Zonetell sends the current Zonepop information to your chatbox

Great addon, does exactly what it says on the tin.

But I'm wondering, since the addon is spamming the /who function every few min, doesn't it put extra strain on the server? Imagining it gets popular and hundreds of people are running it.

Also, since I have very little knowledge in addons, does it hog any extra PC resources (would say updating in the middle of a big keep siege be a lagfest)?

I don't think it has anny major inpact on server stability. 1 query / sec for 26 secounds should not put anny strain on the server since the client already sends like hundreds of querys annyway

And it sould not lag annything down for you, It uses like 1/100 of the resources addons like Enemy or buffhead uses, it's just a simple search that puts it's data into a movable window..

Except now people use it like aao, and if they do not have overwhelming numbers either leave the zone, or sit in a keep waiting for an attack to happen.

Also, makes it hard to defend a zone when the attacker knows they outnumber you by say 2 or 3 to 1

Is it possible to make the refresh not done a each respawn, or make it only manual?
