Yesterday, trying out the new command .changename led to an inaccessable account. Starting the Launcher and game client works fine but after connecting, the whole char screen remains empty and after about 10minutes, the game crashes with a black screen. A friend of mine tried to access the same account from his PC but got the same result. Any chance of fixing this issue? I'm desperate!

What character name did you attempt this on?

I still see it named as Benjio. The name change wasn't completed. If you were disconnected before the 20 second log out timer completing, I think it bugs out the account. It may just require a server restart for you to be able to log in.
