stuck at searching for allies whilst logging in..

Ok,

my guild got reassigned by grandpaa, but the character was a bit buggy.. so he assigned it to my other toon and i deleted the buggy character, to clear that issue...
After deleteing the 'buggy char', he said i could remake a new toon with the same name.. so i did this..

But now, i seem to be getting stuck on 'searching for allies' portion of logging in?

I'm not sure if i've caused this somehow.. I did actually click 'delete' character twice, because i deleted it.. and then the game didnt refresh my character list, so it was still there, so i waited a bit suspecting lag, then after a few minutes deleted it again, then i reloaded the client and it was gone... i dont know if that could've caused some issue?

I dont want to keep spamming logging in too much cus god knows what its doing but its doing something not right

Assuming this is indeed an issue related to me alone and not a server-wide thing...
..But then, it says the server is up.. and it keeps getting stuck for me, in the exact same place.. and it worked fine yesterday prior to deleting my character.

If there's an easy way to fix this, i will happily take a wipe or whatever if it allows me to play the game.

My logical guess is that the previous "bugged" character instance with that name still exists in the DB and most likely requires a server restart to clear the cache. I would say wait until the next server restart and then try.

I mean sure, thanks for the reply - at least it's confirmation its a 'me' issue.


Do you... post somewhere when you restart the server or will i have to tune my magical healing crystals to the servers frequency again to monitor? xD

Scheduled restarts are announced in game. You can see on the homepage on here the server status widget. Within it, it has a "live since <date>". It states when the server was last restarted, so when it changes, you'll know.
