Hello all!
I had no idea there was a private server for Warhammer Online until yesterday after some trolling around reddit. I happened upon the old AoR subreddit by chance and saw there was still activity. I just got back from overseas and am so excited to get back into this game. Lately, I have been really passionate about Dwarves, playing everything I can about them. TW: Warhammer is what got it all started along with Dwarf Fortress. Hell, I even had my wife take me to the bookstore and I am now reading "The Dwarves" by Markus Heitz. I think I'm a bit Dwarf crazy right now.
I've always wanted to get into the tabletop game but frankly it is too expensive a hobby. That's not to say I don't engage in tabletop games though. I play Warmachine ( No dwarves though D: ) and still play D&D when I can find those interested.
I look forward to smashing greenskin skulls when the servers come back up!
Greetings from a returning Dawi

i really enjoyed those books, its a good read! i do feel that there are some things missing from the german to english translation tho, perhaps not missing but certain things are just oddly phrased and whatnot. have you read them all yet?

I'm about halfway through the first. I do certainly enjoy the story thus far. I knew it was translated but I didn't know it was from german!

1st and second are the best by far, i dont want to spoil anything for you but the 3d book kinda gave me the feeling the author was quite tired of the series. well i just assumed that since the author is german
! reading those books really gave me a better feel towards dwarves in anything from lord of the rings to here in Warhammer!

If ya want some real dwarven formation fighting move yer beard over here!

@Heitz:
1. Book is like an oldschool adventure Group fighting Evil. But in 2, 3 and 4 the group actually moves on and begin to get in each others life. And not in a good way.
BUT with Book 5. he is back in action. Because in Book 5 the Hero is back, and the elves are super tricksy ... tricksers like they were allways. Looking forward to the next one.

Number 5 was released in german this year.NerdsnJunk wrote:Last check and Barnes & Noble there were 4 books in the series.

So takes some time till it is translated. Nice to see it one time the other way round.
