Hi all,
Just a quick one, thinking of rolling a Bright Wizard if I decide to play order.
Anyone have an experience with this class or any tips?
Thanks

BW is typical burst glasscanon class. You can deal huge burst dmg thanks to front and backloaded burst (Boiling Blood deals damage after 10/5 sec and your basic ranged spell have travel time so you can combine several abilties to hit your enemy at almost the same time)
BW is focused on crits - even thanks to mechanic that give you additional +35% chance to crit + additional 100% crit dmg (at 100 combustion) though it also give your spells 35% chance to damage you for some dmg. Thus BW isnt ideal class to play when u do not have a healer around.
He can deal high burst ST damage and also be very effective in long-medium range aoe.
Re: Order Bright Wizard
tips - in this order
first - find your pocket tank to utilize close quarters tactic (kotbs or sm).
second - find your pocket healer.
third - find your pocket debuffer (sw maybe)
and the most important - don't be silly and don't try to be another lonely squishy as hell wannabe BW hero

Re: Order Bright Wizard
BW have a tendency to burn themselves to death.
I'd roll a melee RunePriest.

I think melee RP is doing almost equal dmg as range RPZintair wrote:BW have a tendency to burn themselves to death.

Re: Order Bright Wizard
Bwizzards, with a tank and healer dedicated to supporting them, are lethal lil bastards on the battlefield. If you don't focus them, simtex zaxxond and svarz will light your ass up.

i fear the might of melee RP but melee BW is equally terrifying

Re: Order Bright Wizard
Like most classes speccing is very rank/renown dependent. You'll find the game will change a lot in T4 as your survival will become significantly harder vs destro melee+tank classes.
Many specs have been illustrated already on the forums, some people like to spec AOE, but - AOE doesn't really become worth while in small fights such as scenarios (maybe not Battle for Praag, as it's 18 vs 18.) If you have AOE spec in a group vs group setting you'll just be a useless tard because that is usually were single target (ST) damage is important, to focus down one target as quickly as possible (spike damage).
That said, I've found Fiery Blast quite effective in RvR even when ST spec'ing.
