So I recently hit 30 on my Slayer and immediately tried out both ID + Shatter limbs, as well as Rune of Absorption + Deep Wounds.
For all the flogging that this is a must-have skill, ID didn't seem to be doing a lot of damage. The addition of a decent DoT + dual wield & Reckless Gamble made for good dps, but it seemed to be on a similar level to the burst & healing of Rune of Absorption.
Am I missing something with this skill or does it just get better at higher levels?
[Slayer] What makes Inevitable Doom a good skill?

Well don't forget you cant back it with a heal debuff yet also you just hit 30 so you're probably not going to have amazing dps all the time.
Keep grinding levels and gear then when t4 comes and you can full spec give it another try

It's a high damage DoT which allows you to stack a load of damage in GCDs.
Allows you to proc On Hits like crazy like WP heal aura, and gets rid of challenges from enemy tanks "passively".

It grants you higher uptime of "on hit" proccs.

it gets ALOT better when your procs become undefendable with rampage
Thats why id is so strong; procs

Re: [Slayer] What makes Inevitable Doom a good skill?
so what kind of procs do you need for it? do you mean like party buffs, or weapon procs too?
Orkni 85+ (in-game Grock is not me...)

It makes you pretty much immune to challenge which is great, too bad destro has crippling strikes tho.

Imo, the name just says it all. Just have 100% uptime on ID and mask ur heal debuff behind onslaught/relentless strikes. **** is bulletproof.

Re: [Slayer] What makes Inevitable Doom a good skill?
Its basicly like using 2 abillities every GCD since its DD hits and not a dot tick So you got AA, an abillity attack and a ID on pretty much every GCD wich can all proc stuff like BW buffs, WP auras etz. Since its an AoE attack they don't need to target tanks to clear Challanges osince if they got Rampage up it can't be defended either. Its just pure cheeze for an allready broken unballanced class.
