I listened to a dev diary on youtube and it sounds like a really impressive engineering effort too!
Anyway, I started playing this past weekend and I just wanted to make sure that I've understood the character build mechanics correctly:
- basically stats and class abilities level up automatically, no need to make any decisions (don't really understand why I can train class abilities at skill trainers since I seem to just get those abilities anyway)
- I use reknown points to buy reknown abilities
- I use mastery points to buy mastery abilities
- later on I'll get some morale abilities which I can choose
- later on I'll get to choose from amongst several tactics
- optionally I can pick trade skills: one (or more?) crafting and one (or more?) gathering simply by talking to certain NPCs
So a build is basically an assignment of reknown and mastery points and a selection of morales and tactics, did I miss anything?
Secondly, it seems that all of these (reknown abilities, mastery abilities, morales, tactics) are re-assignable at low or no cost, so I don't have to worry about making poor decisions right now, is that true?
cheers and thank you!
