making a friend in game

Ok so, i was having a discussion in game yesterday and the fact that i am an actual real live woman was made known. about three seconds late i get a tell from a good person asking me how many people added me as a friend simply because i am a woman. i said none because i figured i would get notification if someone added me, but i decided to check it out. Anyways i pressed "o" and BAM! i have 8 new friends. i was honestly like wtf... i said it in game and now i will say it here, if you would like to add someone as a friend thats cool, but at least say hi first. maybe im old fashioned this way but i think that if you want to talk to a person and become friends with them, you need to at least say hi first.

You sure that it's not player names that are listed as "Suggested friends"? When someone adds you as a friend, you do get a notification in the chat window to tell you "<playername> added you as a friend. Click here to add them back".

You can either add them back or ignore it and they won't be in your "friend list". If you would rather not get tells from them, tell them to stop or ignore them.

Yeah I dont' think there is anyway to see how has you as a friend, unless you keep track of the XXXX has added you as a friend statement. LIke was said you most likely have 8 suggested friends.

Friends names will appear as green when online and grey when offline. If they are another color they are just suggested friends either due to you have played with them recently either in a SC or ORvR WB or something along those lines or talked with them.

As sad as it is, you have neckbeards out there that the second they find out you don't have a wang instantly makes them think they have a chance and then the creepy messages will swarm.
