Total Noob in Warhammer needs help!

Hello guys,

i signed up a while ago but i didn't get it working so i couldn't play and gave up on it. However, now i tried it again and it worked and i am really glad i can start off now.

The question is: How?

I heard that there are several ways to level up. With PvP and PvE.
The thing is: Should i do questing at all or only PvP? I love PvP generally more than PvE but only if i already know the lore behind that stuff.

So for my first character, a dwarfen engineer, should i do some questing from t1-t4 and go from village to village to find out more about all the stuff happening in the warhammer universe?

Also what i need to know is:
What kind of professions are there and where do i get them?
Are there some kind of talents like the talents you had in WoW?
Where are the most important vendors for gear?
Should i do PvE and PvP combined? If so, would i level up to fast to finish the lore of a specific area?

You don't really have to answer me that questions. A link to a complete guide of the game would be great!

Thanks,

PocketCoffee

p.s. I could find it out myself for sure but only with a working german version of the game. I can speak english pretty good but i am way more comfortable when i play a game in german and also more motivated to find stuff out.

You should try to PvP when you level as a majority of the games content is in PvP. In order to get the best gear sets for your class you are going to have to PvP (except for Ruin gear in T4 which you an get from doing Public Quests)

Problem is PvP can be dead at times, either no one is on or your realm is being dominated. In which case if you are trying to gain some levels you should switch over to PvE. Questing can be slow so if you can you should try to find someone to Power Level you, which will be hard if you don't know anyone and can also leave you with a bunch of abilities you don't fully understand how they work together and can leave your renown rank severely under nourished.

There are 2 main crafting professions Talisman Making and Potion making (Apothecary) and 2 separate gathering professions for both crafting professions that give you supplies to make different types of Talismans or Potions.

Talisman Making (Hedge Wizard):
Scavenging (Finds materials off of humanoid corpses)
Salvaging (Gathers materials from breaking down gear that is green or higher)

Potion Making (Apothecary):
Butchering (Finds materials off of beast corpses)
Cultivating (Uses seeds to grow different materials)

You can only have one crafting profession and one gathering profession per character.

If you mean the talent tree like there was in WoW then yes there is a Mastery tree which has a similar principle except simply putting points in the tree doesn't mean you earn the ability or tactic. You have to build your way up the Mastery tree to the tactic or ability you want and then when you want tht ability or tactic choose it. So if you want an ability that requires 3 points to unlock you have to spend an additional point to unlock it meaning you spent 4 points in total.

Each class has 3 different Mastery trees all focusing on different aspects available to the class. An excellent resource to check out regarding Mastery Trees is WAR builder: http://waronlinebuilder.org/

Most important Vendors are the PvP gear vendors which are found in your realms capital cities War Quarters.

If you level out of a specific zone before you have finished all the lore you don't have to worry because you can return and do it again at any time. It honestly might be best to wait for doing all the quests since I am not sure exactly how many of them are fully working.

I believe there are language packets available for different languages, German included, but I could be mistaken. I recall seeing stuff about it on the forums some time ago but never investigated.

By the way your English is excellent.
