i cant remember how many damage i took from last boss from bastion stair but those profile are write wrong or have to be read differently

75% of armor penetration mean if you have "75%" damge reduction from armor you got 0% damage reduction so there are 4k x attacks, 2 healer x party cannot heal 12k in 3 seconds, i assume it ingore 75% of your currently armor value so its like

not a -75%

but a

( your armor) :100 * 75= ......

I loaded up the sql databases last night to see and the loot tables are totally messed up. I think they might have just been pulled straight from wardb or zam which were also totally messed up. The majority of gear isnt linked to any drops and those that have some really odd links.

The loot tables will have to be rebuilt at some point or you'll be missing ways of getting the majority of the games gear.
shouldn't be a problem we know at mind major gear drop, the rest can be fix/link where it suppose it shoud stay, alredy all rvr set get by city or medalion so not realy any issue with old db database, i just see problem for dev to handle huge masses drop system request fom new ppl join server atm

There are numerous issues with the current drop system, and I believe the devs have already stated it needs an overhaul. The most obvious ones are that not all mobs drop all pieces of gear, leading to scarcity of the pieces that aren't dropped by the commonly farmed mobs; severe drop inequality between Order and Destruction; cross-realm drops on lair bosses; a lack of correlation between drops and mob rank; and almost total absence of blue and purple drops. Telen has previously outlined how it is supposed to work, and I hope he can supply a fully in-depth guide for implementation of Mythic's original system.

In the video I linked, Alisha hits a rank 11 SM for about 30% of his HP. That would indicate damage of about 600 assuming that SM is not a twink and doesn't have an absorb like Phantom's Blade up. Were that SM a twink, the damage would be even higher as his reduction would be greater than what the developers actually intended you to have in Tier 1. 270 is still only a fraction of what it should be capable of, probably because the mob stats should be far higher to give it better armor penetration, attack damage, damage resistance and health.

http://www.returnofreckoning.com/forum/ ... f=11&t=879 contradicts subtractive Weapon Skill armor penetration:
first post in thread wrote:Please note - throughout this whole post I’ll just be using a single term for armor. Weapon Skill affects armor penetration. That’s a very uninteresting stat for me, as it’s essentially a linear effect. A fully accurate formula would use (ArmorMitigation = TargetArmor%*(1-WeaponSkillArmorPenetration%). If you’re writing a calculator, be sure to include that term, but this thing is complicated enough without that uninteresting term to further expand these large formulas. Thanks to Wodin and Hermit for pointing out that I shouldn’t leave this out all together without and explanation!

Otherwise, the WS reduction to armor would be given as a static armor value in game. WS ignores a percentage of the foe's armor, whatever that may be, and so the RoR handling is correct. Armor Pen was designed as an anti-heavy armor stat.

I think some bosses have also special attacks that do resistance damage. Maybe those "banshee-like" bosses should have one or more spirit damage attacks.

Yes i remember the last years, where every professional group stacked armor + weaponskill like crazy (at least on the german servers).
The people that still stacked strength instead of weaponskill were hitting the armor stackers like a wet noodle.
A good mdps in those days had at least ~ 40% armor penetration.

The only mdps that still doesn't need high weaponskill were marauders, because they have

-> "piercing bite" tactic <-
+ "cutting claw" armordebuff
+ "impale" armor ignore
+ standard armor penetration through weaponskill of ~ 25%
= high armor penetration on almost every skill, except autoattacks

And on the side note, that is why some of us were stacking toughness which is unaffected by WS.
