meanwhile in every non chaos campagin, chaos corruption is wrecking your groove and your overwhelmed by the constant waves of chaos hords post turn 50

Yea, those waves get rough in a hurry.

Turtling up helps. Castles have some epic garrison's. Playing Tag with your castle as home base helped me wipe a few of em.... Turn 68 my vamps control 3 provinces. Feels like I am constantly 3 turns away from a TPK.

Gonna try Chaos next. Kholek Here I Come:P

I found the easiest way to deal with chaos was to utilise your Heros and assassinate the lords / wizards (that way a level 1 steps up into its place) and / or slow down the armies so you can take it piecemeal.

In my first Vamp campaign it took me 40 turns from turn 88 onwards to destroy Warriors. (Mind you, I let them raze and abuse 3/4 of the empire for a good 30 turns whilst I amassed 5 armies and wiped out 3/4 of the dwarves.
Advantages of doing this meant that when I did kill Archaeon, Sigvald and Khorig, 3/4 of the empire was razed and I had a bank of $ from all my dwarf raiding.
