un-able to join the server

Hi i was playing on the server earlier today and there was a restart and now whenever i try to join the server again it simply loads up as normal and i select play and it then loads up as if it was loging me into the server and then it just takes me back to the start screen i dont know what is wrong any ideas ?

Does it do this when you try to log in a character?
