Telen is right. It kills realm pride and it kills the game. Why can't the devs lock someone's account/username to the ip address they have? And if thier ip address changes they can't log in the account till a dev updates the ip for thier account. That way ppl can't just go crazy getting new ips or new accounts. I am sure the majority of players wont be trying to cheat the system. And that will make it harder for ppl that do try to cheat the system. They will have to let dev know they changed ip. And the devs will have a good idea of the lot of them that are trying to cheat the system. Of course there are exceptions if there are more ppl with more then 1 comp or more then 1 players but it's a small group and I am sure the devs can make exceptions/control that aspect of things.
Example. I have just one comp at my house. That ip is set to my ror account. That way I can only log into the faction I choose. Now if somthing happens and let's say I get a new internet provider I just need to pm a dev and let them know and they can update my account with my new ip so I can log in.
Now if it's someone asking to change their ip all the time for no reasons then they can keep a eye on that player and see if he/she is a xrelmer. And ppl with multiple comps/players can have an exemption made since it will be a smaller group.
This will help and make it harder for those that try to cheat the system. It will also make player really think of what side they want to root and fight for and being realm pride back to the game.

Given that the RP isn't much, but with RR cap low, it doesn't take much to get to cap.
I'm not sure on the Lootbag stuff, but maybe it's fully RNG on how many gold/purple/blue bags there are, or dependant on players in the area. But if you compare 24 people taking a keep for 1 or 2 lootbags, to 100 people taking a keep for 1 to 3 lootbags, odds are better you'll get a bag in the empty one.

Just a possibility which we always did on live.
Though if people give up on keeps so easily doesnt that prove we are seriously lacking realm pride?
Two examples I see more often than I ever did on live that are indicators to me that xrealming is an issue.
I see a lot of people slagging off their 'own' realm in chat. They have no affiliation so why not they can just jump ship after.
Also in scs I have seen people moan about certain classes and even leave scs because we had too many 'fotm'. This is because they bring their feelings from being against these classes into what is meant to be a team. Yes wp are op but I love having them while I hate seeing doks on the otherside. If you arent bias to your side the game isnt working.

I find it amusing that ppl think realm pride will automatically make the game a better place and reminisce about how great the game was in the early days when realm pride apparently existed.
A big incentive to have some sort of realm pride in the early days was gear, gear was not easy to get so you had to come together as a realm to push a fort/city in order to get that gear/item, once ppl were fully geared they didnt care much for the rvr campaign because the only reason to log in was to fight, no longer did they need to help the realm.
This is the same situation we see now, when t3 was first released realm pride existed to a certain extent, ppl wanted the new gear/items, you would cap bo's/keeps as a realm, you would kill that solo guy as a group of 6 which in turn builds hate and a sense of rivalry, now most ppl are fully geared they dont care so much , that solo guy is no longer worth killing, there is no reason to ruin the solo guys fun, only reason to log in is to fight not push keep's all day long.
Realm pride is a myth, if there is no carrot at the end ppl dont care.

Realm pride is created by belonging to one side for an extended period. Its enhanced by you're experience of the other realm, either being ganked, spawn camped, emoted. When you have xrealming you have this happen from both sides so never gain the exaggerated view of one that creates the enmity you need for realm pride to work. You wont connect with your realm when you know they do these same things to you.

If there are destro inside I can get purple numbers, and more importantly deathblows from them.
Attacking an undefended keep means there are no destro, so no deathblows, and less purple numbers.
The entire purpose of this game for me is to get deathblows and then rage in TS when shitty BW, and pouncing WL's steal my deathblows.
That was my kill Marsares! Damn kill stealing elf, sitting back with your guard and heals until I get him to 10%, and then boom you come flying in stealing my kill! GRUDGE! GRUDGE I call upon you!
(more seriously and on topic to the thread. Not everyone plays or even cares about loot bags. If they did then a lot of people wouldn't login because they are maxed out, a lot of people play for fun, and taking empty keeps is not fun for them. I might as well go play golden axe. It is a lot more exciting then RvD. As Telen says if there is no realm pride there is no reason to defend keeps, and if no one defends keeps, that means there is no one to fight, and the entire purpose of the game is lost. Why login if all I can do is RvD?)
