Pounce

So as I understand it in RoR the dev's brought back the AoE damage on pounce and then took it away again?

What was the justification on why they took it away again?

I wasn't here for when that happened.

To my knowledge, we never had AoE damage on pounce. If we ever did, it was a bug that got fixed.

Back in the early days of Warhammer, pounce had an aoe damage component that was thankfully removed because it meant that WLs would break KOTBS's staggers every time they wanted to pounce someone. It was annoying and made WLs non-viable to play with KOTBS's as it would negate their CC.

I'm very happy with the state pounce is in in RoR.

Less CC breakage the better. We have enough fluff AoE abilities flying around.

Pounce is so OP. Literally has 0s CD. In other games like WoW and Tetris, Charge has 20s Cooldown and warriors can oneshot people too like WL. Also the pet can solo me. Please buff Festering Arrow and make RoR great again

Bug Fixes:
- Fixed a bug that allowed White Lions to pounce in midair.

Oh you mean the 3 seconds of stagger 1/3rd of which is eaten just with GCD? That Stagger?


Ive posted on this before. Stagger needs to be increased because at the current moment ALL it serves to do is 1 of 2 things:
1) can potentially be used to catch ranged DPS in ORvR that are kiting you (yay)
2) Gives enemies free immunity timers because its 3 seconds and breaks upon any damage, and we all know how players LOVE to spam AOE....

Id honestly rather have stagger REMOVED from Chosen/Knight as the ability itself (atleast for Chosen) can decent as just a damager and a way to proc Crip Strikes... But not at the cost of an immunity timer.... Just seems bizzare to me that its only 3 seconds AND can still be broken....


My proposal would be to:
1) Put Stagger ON staggering impact (Knight DPS tree) and INCREASE the duration to say 5-6 seconds.
2) remove Stagger from Quake/Heaven's Fury.

Now Chosen wont have Stagger (which is fine by me). Knights Capstone will add more value (cause right now it sucks) and no more free immunity timer on either ability. Maybe you need to look at Heaven's Fury and change that a bit or buff the damage, cause its pretty crappy actually....
