ok so I will admit being an idiot noob if you will just tell me how to change the chat channel. Apparently asking in game turns on some new kind of instant ignore. Go figure I asked for help and actually hoped to get it.

you can click the icon next to the line or just /chatname like /advice /party etc.

For questions go to the /advice channel

Thanks yeah saw the icon click but it didn't have a choice for advice
thought it typed /advice maybe I typed \advice
But thanks for the help without the smart*** comments

You can filter out chat channels you're not interested in by right clicking the chat tab and clicking "filters". Just uncheck the ones you don't want to see anymore.

also /help is a working command ingame to list you a load of stuff.

Also any questions just ask in /Advice, there are a lot of us that enjoy helping people, I`m always on there answering question, on one of my many toons, as well as helping randoms with epic quests champions, or tanking stalker quest heroes for people.

lol you asked something in advice, and you think everyone put you on ignore?

Well, depending on the time of day (maybe month? lol) people in this game can get extremely anti social. it is actually hilarious how sometimes people will shut individuals out soooo much that they cant even actually play the game. For this reason, I highly recommend joining a guild.
