I have a big trouble with launching the game

when i launch the game there is only black screen and titles on it. I know english not so good, i'll be better if you will look at screenshot. And so when i choose\create character and everywhere.(i have win 8 (on win7 it works normal)). I can't upload the screenshot here, because it's 2 large. https://github.com/WarEmu/WarBugs/issues/453

This problem has been lurking around for quite some time now, yet there is no available fix for every individual mostly because they got bored of replying to the suggestions.

Try updating your graphics card and DirectX 9 to the latest version and see if that fixed it for you.

You can try to redownload the game too.

A long shot but still:
1. can you download some of those software that check your drivers if you're outdated on any?
2. reinstall every .NET you find
3. reinstall every C++ runtime you find

i know this may have been asked before.
i downloaded the client using elvens link for mgadownloader. i used the seperate downloader to download the client. i checked the version of the client it is the correct one. i downloaded the launcher and put it in the clients folder. now here is my issue. i lauch the game. it connects to the server, but when the client launches i only get the window with a black screen. no character select. no ui. i have reinstalled my video drivers, updated all my net framework, and checked all my logs. only log i get is for my video card which says pass under all conditions. i dont evenget the audion when logging in, so either im missing something or ???? Any ideas? im usuing a laptop with an nvidia 9200gs. which i have okayed warhammer before with. any jelp would be appreciated

If you are able to access the settings, set your game resolution to your desktop resolution, and uncheck fullscreen.

Nope Cant access anything. screen completely black. What is the resolution setting the game starts with. maybe if i set mine to that it may allow me to see something if its a resolution thing. hey ill give anything a try.

There MIGHT be a folder named "User" in the games folder. If you do have it, go inside it and there should be a file called "userSettings". You can modify the resolution (among other features) in this file.

Right click is and click "Edit". At the top there should be graphics tag set and look similar to this:

If you want it in windowed mode alter the text "fullscreen="true"" to false. Then altger the Fullscreen attributes to something compatible to your monitor. Something Like width= 800 height=600. Then save and close the file.

plus it wont let me change the text on the html file for windowed mode, but everything matches my resolution in the user settings.

HTML file ??? What are you on about?

Also knowing what you actually modified would be a good idea. That particular error message is similar to a timeout, you might wanna ping that IP and port (use telnet).
