Game has engine, which has some weak points. On laptop with i7,8gb ddr3 ram and gtx 770m 3gb,game runs flawlesly around 100fps. In zerg vs zerg fights or big keep siege fps drop to 30 and time to time under 20.
So I asume no hardware can save You from server(connection) lags or random massive fps drops during big fights.

Yeah, I've got 6600k, gtx 970 both overclocked with 16gb of ram and sometimes in big zerg vs zerg clashes I'm getting dropped to even 0 fps. It pisses me off sometimes.

Re: GEFORCE GT 730 2048MB DDR5 +intel 4790K 4.0 GHz
It's the server, guys.
You could literally run with a 8 year old computer and still have the same performance as you do now, on your current PC. No amount of ram, CPU, or whatever will ever give you high fps in mass-rvr fights. The problem is WAR's shitty coding, as well as the server itself. It's NOT on your end.

A GT730 compares roughly to a HD6570.
http://www.futuremark.com/hardware/gpu/ ... 730/review
That's really not that...epic.
Here's how a 730 should (roughly) compare to a HD6850:
HD6750 vs 6850
http://www.hwcompare.com/10565/radeon-h ... n-hd-6850/
But really, with THIS Haswell processor of yours get yourself a 7850 or GTX660 at MINIMUM! Everything else is a waste.
You can get either a HD6850 1GB used for €40,- or a used 7850 2GB for €80,-.
That's both a much better deal than 730 new for €55,-.
Actually the R9 Nano should be the better deal;
http://www.hwcompare.com/29230/geforce- ... n-r9-nano/
But both would be a waste of money, too, because in June there's Polaris and Pascal incoming, and at the end of the year Vega is supposed to be released (rumors say it has 16GB RAM and HBM2). So I'd better suggest to save the money and go with a used card till then. And really, better get your money back in any way for the 970: It's simply a scam.

The GTX970 is actually where NVIDIA has sold us ****. It only has 3,5GB of fast RAM and 512MB of crappy slow RAM; so it is actually a 3,5GB card marketed as 4GB. I would throw that away as fast as I can getting my money back somehow and get either a 980 or Radeon-NANO.Reesh wrote:Yeah, I've got 6600k, gtx 970 both overclocked with 16gb of ram and sometimes in big zerg vs zerg clashes I'm getting dropped to even 0 fps. but still the gtx970 often gets more fps then other cards in this price area(around 330 bucks for my gigabyte gtx 970)
I play war in 4 k with a gtx970 and only have problems in big fights ( like everyone of us)^^
really most games dont use more than 3 gb of vram right now.
You buy 8GB cards only if you want to keep for as long as possible. but until it is needed, you may have a new one anyway

That config is like...

Shogun, Zama, Mashka, Antifreeze, Alcotester

True, the 3GB are the average right now.saupreusse wrote:but still the gtx970 often gets more fps then other cards in this price area(around 330 bucks for my gigabyte gtx 970)

But to me it's simply the fact they are selling a 3,5GB card for a 4GB card. Matter of principle only, really.
And for €500,- I could get a Nano, so... it's a matter of personal choice I think, really.

Well, Rise of the Tomb Raider is already using up to 8GB VRAM, but I know what you mean. Since 8GB will probably be the standard in gaming in 2years or so, I think its a so-so decision.saupreusse wrote:You buy 8GB cards only if you want to keep for as long as possible. but until it is needed, you may have a new one anyway
But in June there's a bunch of new cards incoming, so it's probably best to wait in any case.

Re: GEFORCE GT 730 2048MB DDR5 +intel 4790K 4.0 GHz
Your CPU is not deserve this play this game with kind of trash GPU. Why did you combined this GPU with this CPU? Or is your PC is a brand PC? I meant it isn't custom PC and you bought a brand PC? You should get badder CPU and better GPU. Because GT730 is one of the low level GPU. So you should get at least GTX 770 for kind of this GPU, even GTX 780.
