http://imgur.com/GbEbEreSo this happens when i log in. Only the Server button responds to my mouse. I don't have a clue how to fix. Do any of you do?
EDIT: clicking in rapid succession after the black screen shows up brings me to a character creation screen; completely black with the HUD visible and clickeble. Using this to get to the "play" button brings me to a loading screen for Norscea, the little book laoding screen. 2 seconds later i WILL crash, saying it has simply stopped working. Again, i have no clue.
EDIT 2: I have now removed literally every possible obstruction that might block access, reading/writing etc. This is frustrating.

This may sound stupid, but did you click the server button and select the server?
Order only. Just High Elves.
Xramoth-Swordmaster (in live was Ramoth)
Caranath-White Lion (in live was Niniel)

Re: I have no clue
Are you running two graphics cards? Some issues with crashing have been addressed by forcing SLI to be turned off when playing the game - WAR never supported SLI, and we're in no position to change this.
Alternatively, it's possible that a 3rd party application or service could be blocking the connection to the game server, which is different from the login server. If you are are using ASUS Republic of Gamers software, this has been reported to cause problems. Other similar software might be causing issues.
In at least one occasion, malware has been shown to be a cause of an inability to connect. If for no other reason than an inability to play RoR, I would strongly recommend running a decent application, like Malwarebytes.
Of course, it could also be the case that something is wrong with your game files - did you torrent the game, or select the direct download? The latter is far more likely to have issues. The former only has the read-only issues, as well as being unable to play if the torrent is still running.

Re: I have no clue
I have no software like ASUS RoG running. I also have only 1 video card in my laptop. And i already run malwarebytes/ccleaner. And lastly i have torrented, not downloaded directly.

A couple other checks...Corvuu wrote:I have no software like ASUS RoG running. I also have only 1 video card in my laptop. And i already run malwarebytes/ccleaner. And lastly i have torrented, not downloaded directly.
You've unchecked read-only from the game folder and all subfolders?
Right-click war.exe and go to Properties -> Compatibility, and check "Run as Administrator."
Make sure you have the following files: art.myp, art2.myp, art3.myp, data.myp, world.myp
Re: I have no clue
I have all those files and used all the option to give me full control, run as admin and make sure there's no read only protection. furthermore, the isn't blocked by any firewall or antivirus either.
