Appearance Items

Hello! I notice that most capes and most t1 items do not have the ability to change appearance. Is there a balance / gameplay reason to this? I think it would be nice for most items to have an option to have its appearance altered. Thoughts?

items that do not have boe or bop cant have an alt appearance item attached to them but there is a work around, u need the item u intend to wear, the item you want to use as alt appearance and another item that is either bop/boe.
You slot the item you dont intend to wear or use as alt appearance, hit alt apperance tab, drop the item you want to use as the appearance, then click the alt appearance tab to go back to your gear, remove the place holder item and replace it with the item you want to use, back to alt appearance and hit yes.
