If it was me, if I'd wanted to stream, I wouldn't care about anything. However as Elven said, there's nothing worth streaming, unless you can get a video of a pulsating ****** on half of the screen.

I'm thinking, sense the game is shutdown, it shouldn't matter if EA and GW find out...

Is this project illegal then? The game is shut-down, which IMO makes it fair game thereafter! :D

There was a discussion ongoing about this: Why not just ask Games Workshop to give you the source code?

There's loads of people streaming vanilla WOW servers on Twitch every day.

Even if Mythic or gamesworkshop or EA found out that there is a warhammer online private server up why in the world would they bother about it?. They never bothered about the game when the live servers were up so they have seriously no point of being bothered about this. Even if they did find out eventually that there is a warhammer online private server i seriously dont think they would care. Its not like they are making any money out of this game anymore.

Last I heard there is a case being made in the US which is attempting to make private servers legal for games that have been taken off line. The basic argument is that if the software is out there and there is no legal means to which some one can buy the software than as long as groups aren't charging for it they should be allowed to host a private server. I'm hoping this case rules in our favor but until we are certain of it I wouldn't do anything risky.

As long as no money is exchanged you're good to go. Donations are fine.
