Can't Train Trade Skills?

I'm in the second quest area (where you meet the first Rally Master) and I'm talking to Egill Wolfman (Apprentice Career Trainer)
I can't train any Trade Skills - clicking that dialog option results in nothing happening. I have checked and I have no trade skills. using '.respec Gathering' and '.respec Crafting' have not resulted in fixing this issue.

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Not sure why that dialogue option is there, you pick up Gathering and Crafting skills by talking to the NPC with the appropriate job title under their name. They can be found in the Ch.2 camps, or in the cities. So for example, if I wanted to learn Salvaging and Talisman making, I would talk to an NPC with the titles "Salvager" and "Hedge Wizard" accordingly.

I have this same problem. When I click to train, nothing comes up.

You may have a gathering or crafting skill already. Type

/say .respec Gathering
Or
/say .respec Crafting

And talk to the right npc as I outlined in my previous post.
