Can't create new Character

bump - Error is still persistent exactly how WFRPfan described it, and still looks identical but the fix he suggested in his post edit did not work.

I suppose i have a similar problem.
After a login i can see all the in menus buttons, and change setting, but background is black, and when i try to create a char, simply nothing happens.
Then i noticed that after 3-5 sec in creating char menu it randomly checks on faction, race, etc. Somehow i created random char, but when trying to login in game client simply turns off, without any errors on screen.
All folder in not in av blacklist, all files are not RO.

This is still a persistent problem and I have not been able to fix it with any of the methods that have been stated.

Can anyone give us a hand and help solve the problem please????

Try right click on data.myp in main folder and push "Properties" -> "General" if there is mark "Only for reading" remove it

Yes try your Disabling your anti Virus then reload the game.

i fixed it!

make sure to add as exception to firewall, run as admin, do the uncheck read only thing and then this bit ;3

in the client Ror download thing theres these other things you need to unpack and extract to the gamefolder. after i did this i was able to acces the server and create a char:)

Hey, Skearn, could you explain by what you mean unpack? I am not terribly computer literate and have been having terrible luck with getting into the game in regards to CC.
