Error with launching game

So I downloaded the client and put it in my folders, but it will not launch, it keeps giving me an error and saying that warhammer.exe cannot launch separately without the patcher.

I am using steam for warhammer, do I need to download the client separately?

and of course download the RoR launcher too.
