PE is listed as Spiritual here and so it is Spiritual on RoR. The only bug fix I can find on Potent Enchantments is that it was fixed not to scale with Hoeth mastery... the Spirit damage path.

That guide is from 2009. I can't say anything about 2009 because I didn't test it then, but later in the game PE did physical damage. It received up to 85% mitigation against tanks and much higher mitigation from medium armor classes than light armor classes.

It also received much higher mitigation than the Ensorcelled Agony dots against heavy and medium armor in spite of the EA dots receiving mitigation from both toughness and Spirit Resistance.

It never had reason to receive buffs from Hoeth mastery points because it was a core tactic and had no association with the Hoeth mastery path. Deep Incision is the only dot tactic that scaled with mastery points. I assume that it is because it is a tactic fro the Khaine mastery path.

Well if it gets changed to physical just rename to "impotent enchantments" because I don't think anyone would ever use it again tbqh familia.

The point I was making was that if the tactic had been bugged and scaled with Hoeth mastery, which is the Spirit damage path, it's a good indication of PE having been Spirit damage.

Hmm. Now that I think more on it, it might have been spirit damage, but there was a reason I stopped using it after most toons in tier 4 were in sov or better gear. I know it delivered significantly less damage than Ensorcelled Agony in spite of Ea being mitigated by both toughness and resists. But maybe that had something to do with the way PE proc'ed.

This is a ss of my SM at rr84/85. It was taken in April of 2012, a couple months before the bolster to level 46 was introduced in tier 4. You can see that I'm running my number 2 Tactics set. The number 1 set contained PE but I had stopped using that set well before the date of this ss because PE had stopped being worth using.

I originally posted the hidden scroll information to Hammerwiki but I don't know if it's still there. I also posted the location and information for the Blackguard scroll to Hammerwiki but I don't have a ss of that one, although I still remember the location if you need it.

One possibility is that EA benefits from strength/mp/crit and PE does not. Logically it must pull ahead if you gear up enough.

EA might do more damage on its own but I find that PE ticks and crits more often. This increases damage done from BS.

EA did scale with STR as well as points in Hoeth. IIRC endgame tactics for ST DPS SM did not include PE for this reason. It was Balanced Acc, Enscorclled Agony, GWM & Impeccable Reactions (for guard parry and synergy with +parry/EF/WODS). I still found PE was worth using in large scale WB RvR when defensively geared (so low STR) and it could AOE proc of enchants, This info is all subject to memoryfails

One question.

Isn't H's Blade more efficient for P of Khaine DPS SM instead of N's Blade? Since H's Blade is a resist debuff and can stack with the spirit debuff. I know N's Blade is a great utility, but I'm talking raw damage.

Global resist debuff stacks with single resist debuff. That is why SM spirit debuffing is so good.

Which is mainly only useful to SMs and DPS AMs of course, hence the selfishness (or self sufficiency) reputation.
