Some people spend all their gold at fast rates, top gear and items and pots /talis etc for 6 chars and 100 gold on each character ( which lets say the wipe is for 100g per character, they still have 600 gold) . Another person might have only 1 or 2 chars, in decent talis but maybe not the most expensive ones and saved up gold by farming mobs for hours but have 600 gold only on 1 character.. so they get almost all of their gold wiped and still don't have the best items or talis/pots etc.

The ONLY way a gold wipe would be fair would be to also wipe all gear, all talis, all pots, etc from the inventory and start from scratch on all characters. Period.
They have done this once already and I do not think its wise to do it again. Some players have now saved up and purchased 2 sets of gear, SC weps, and have full crafting bags because they put the time in. I do not care about a Gold wipe in the least or a selective Item wipe, all but SC weps, Dev/duelist gear, stalker and crafting items.
Exactly how i feel, i know this is an "Alpha" but at this time people have invested so much time in there characters where it no longer seems like one
Yes, and I HAVE done this on 2 chars.. so I understand this. I have invested a crazy amount of time on them.

Sorry, I think y'all misunderstand, as that is not what I am trying to say. I don't agree with any type of wipe, not a gold wipe or a gear/tali / etc wipe. But what I am trying to say is you can't have one without the other in my opinion for the exact reasons I've stated. I have 2 chars, for most part decked out, although some of my talis are in need of upgrading for sure, but I can't bring myself to spend 100+gold on a tali, so I save my money for now and plan to upgrade as I can. Others might very well spend all their money on such things. Or others might have 4, 5, 6 chars geared up and their gold split up between them all. Either way, a gold wipe isn't just a gold wipe if one player has spent all their gold on the best of everything money can buy on multiple characters while another player doesn't and only has 1 or 2 chars. It's a very grey area at best.

And as mentioned, you start wiping and even though it is alpha, a lot of players are going to feel a bit jaded about it for sure.

The mathematical difference between someone with 22s and someone with 16s in thier gear is something 50 of a stat and is completely negligable. On the other hand the amount of time it takes to get 5pc dev is about 3-4 weeks for the average player. Wiping gold is fine. Wiping all items is fine. Wiping gear that can't be bought with gold is not fine.

Economy is broken by item/gold dupping. Its fact. If we have about 20 purple 20+ stat purple talismans on AH and each cost 150g +, it means the prices are set for duppers or full time job crafters, than for majority of regular players.( Noone get 400-500g/day by selling green junk, talis or mats)

Not a fan of the new gold rewards from killquests. Instead of killing you'll have to farm again. :?

funny stuff, some ppl were predicting prices going down on talis after the changes to quest rewards, some stats price actually doubled since. too bad we cant see seller's name, one could imagine prices are maintained high by some individuals with a large gold capital to buy off cheap sellers instantly ^^
