Curent situation with brigand's weapons

I haven't really checked those items so i don't know if they are BiS. Regardless, this is how i see it:

- Renown gear should be the best gear in the game, no discussion. If you want to wear it, you need to PvP (buy it with emblems/medallions, wear it with the required renown).

- PvE gear should be good enough to let you compete with those wearing Renown gear. So people who want to plvl and get to max level as soon as possible, without thinking about their renown, can simply buy that gear and not get stomped.

However, good PvE gear (blues, purples) only drop in PvP (!!!). And the drop rates are so low that the prices are, of course, really high on both realms.

Now, the decision to remove blue/purple gear from mobs was due to the fact that people would rather farm Gors in IC for hours instead of doing PvP. Keep in mind though that this was back when we didnt have RvR sets. Maybe it is time to bring back purples/blues to mobs (with a better drop chance) and, if necessary, adjust the stats on those items so they are not as good as RvR gear (but good enough to compete). Maybe it isn't even necessary to adjust anything since PvE gear doesn't have tally slots or set bonuses.

The problem we have with blue/purple gear dropping in PvE is not only that people would farm instead of PVP, but also that it would make bots really useful again.

now many players who come to play only for few hours by day, and dont have time for crafting, farming don't have even good potions, talismans

I see this thrown out a lot in these forums. Have ppl forgotten that BiS gear in mmorpg's are not supposed to be handed out automatically for every casual player but instead reserved for the dedicated players who put the time and effort in to acquire them? Anyhow Brigand gear advantages when there are any are ever so slight the prices they are commending right now are not even close to being worth the minimal advantages they provide. Best in slot is best in slot however and worth striving for the serious players.

If you want a better class of weapon you could ask the devs to add the procs back onto the influence weapons. This would surely make them more attractive.

You can farm 1h and loot purple or blue like another man farming 3-4h whitout to loot a purple or some gear you need to be lucky that all !

Same on ORVR 10 kills 1 purple Brigant Greataxe 3 blue Bandit's Chraceaxe again you need to be lucky thall ....

Not entirely true. For jewelry, sure. But weapons are usually either class specific or race specific drops.
