I have a theory for the solo que healer situation. On live, a character required a significant investment of time to level, gear and make competitive. This meant that people, including healers, were more inclined to play their main - even without a group.
RoR suffers from "alt-itis". In RoR, you can pretty much get an alt that is "competitive" with the span of a week (if not days).
I think that on live, someone maining a healer would be more likely to solo on the healer because either: 1) they could continue their progression; or 2) their alts didn't have sufficient time invested to be playable solo.
The alt situation in RoR makes it easier than on live to swap to a dps when you solo. Then we get scenarios with 7 shadow warriors and no heals because everyone knows they are fun as hell for soloing.
I feel like I'm FORCED to play a healer or tank as Order

Re: I feel like I'm FORCED to play a healer or tank as Order
This week and last week while playing my WE and Sorc I noticed a recurring chatter in the /advice and /3 at least once every day that sounded something like this: "where are the destro healers, order always has 4 healers at least in every sc and destro never has any and we lose all the time, why doesn't anyone on destro play healers? i totally have healers btw im just playing my dps right now"
Apparently healers only ever exist on the other side! Sounds like a conspiracy to me.

It happens to both sides. I've had 8/12 people in sc be healers. Multiple times in the same night. 4 zealots, 3 doks, 1 shaman. And theres like 3 chosen and a choppa.

You guys are seriously blind!!
... All i see is tank and heal on your side(order). On our side(destro) tho no healers, no tanks and no brain.

Destro side mainly here. Not playing order since t2.
Use premade, join guilds.
Untill I did that, happened to play against 4 WP 2 AM 3Kotbs 3 Slayer. Many times. And I most enjoy playing dps or dps tank.
If you need healer but don't want to rely on them too much, make a WP. With only a good tank guarding you a lot of fun is coming and with the right equip you can go in battle dealing death.
(t1 and t2 with WP/DoK was almost cheating, you could take 2-3 fellas with a smile on your face.)

Jonus wrote:Yes, you are forced indirectly to play either as a healer or tank. Literally.
Healers are in the long run much more appreciated than a tank who tanks other tanks.
I actually tank the air around my melee dps!!! Hahahahaa

I agree. I've capped level 32, gridned for 3 pieces of Sov, there's no way in hell i'm grinding for the **** helm, so i start and alt.
