It wasn't great we won, better stats could have been applied to win more easily. Two healers against them would have been lights out
Are you saying there was you and 3 dps healers on your side and you won? Or that you as a solo healer out healed the enemies 3 dps healers?

As far as healers go though people need to lay off the folks that want to play the dps specs. They might actually enjoy playing those specs. Just like others like to play dps tanks, or magus. Forcing someone into a primary role they do not want to play won't fix the but we have no heals situation because they will be on a class that can't heal at all then. If you have to have a max healer roll a healer. Telling someone else how to spec to suit your own purposes is even more selfish than the dps healers supposedly are.

I am not normally a healer in mmo's. I actually like healing with the AM in WAR. I also like knowing that when I need a break I can switch my AM to dps and have some nights off pure healing occasionally. It was what I did when the game was live and it is what I planned on doing here. However, lately the attitude towards healers and dps healers has me rethinking my stance. I am getting tired of putting up with crap from mdps that run Rambo into the enemy alone then complain when they die or tanks that demand heals but won't protect or peel for me as I'm trying to keep the group up when the enemy out positioned us. Now with the attitudes displayed in this thread, as well, I am very seriously thinking of specing dps solely and having my fun as a hybrid class saying to hell with everyone else play a healer if you want heals.

LoL sorry. The magus is my favorite destruction class. I like magic based dot users. However, he is pretty much just a rift bot until 40 with high reknown ranks in my experience. Only then with the right gear set up did he become a true presence on the battlefield. Same hold true for the AM. Get some gear and reknown and at 40 they can become beasts again. Of course the BW/Sorc will always have others viewing the other rdps as less unless they are brought in line.

It would be nice, if dps am/shammi would at least spend some hots for their group in a scenario. Sometimes I miss that a bit.
If they would change their gear, they could even be decent healers. Never played dps-am/shammi, but at least on live-server I saw dps-am with ok healing after changing gear.

But you can´t force somebody into a play style. At beginning of scenario you can inspect your comrades, so you are prepared what will happen :-)

Actually the way dps ams/shaman heal is through lifetaps, in fact its a terrible idea for them to use casted heals as they dont heal for anything with divine fury in.

But using lifetaps requires changing your defensive target, and more importantly theyd have to spec in a different line to get the tactics for it. So none of them do it and they stick to doing 50k damage and 5k healing per scen. But hey, whatever makes them happy, if i want heals i bring a healer with me.

MAD is a problem for the AM/Shaman just as it is for the WP/DoK. It looks like they have r are formulating some plans to help with at though for both class pairs. Right now you have to either stack willpower and defense stats or int and defense stats. Also, even with defense stats AM are super squishy and tend to tunneled into the ground first. Scoreboard stats do not always show the real picture. scoreboards need to go at this point IMO. They never have enough info to show the whole story and people can not seem to get past them.

You get the hate tells all the time anyways being a healer.

- "Thank you" - says goober
- "What did I do" - I ask
- "You didn't f***g heal me!!!11!!1!oneoneone"

Of course later on I stop healing him on purpose because I don't like douchebags. I have an entire list of people who I skip from my frames. There's this sw who once in wc was trying to kill a shaman and during that all dotted up he was begging me to heal him. Of course I didn't as my game was alt+tabbed and he called me a "noob". No heals for him as well till he apologizes to me and I see him frequently 8-)

No mercy.

Dat healers who act like resentful children and think that because they play a healer class, they are center of the world and everyone must kiss their toes.
