I just barely survived my gank attempt on a choppa and a lowbie sorc near the tower, was left around with 1.2k health. Then SH came, just put his pet on me, mounted back and went to leech the Passwatch Keep lock. :(

Just a thought: Don't get too focused on comparing SH damage and mechanic pros and cons, and also (which is even more uncalled for) dont get drawn into the order vs destro bias war. The fact is NO class should be able to have a RANGED pet that can damage you thru walls AND can atack you while its master is half a map away taking a nap and enjoying the freenown. Dont get confused by class comparison or realm comparison. Its a RISK vs REWARD issue. I also think ranged KD isnt fair. Not only because only one realm has it, because its fundamentally unsound. RISK vs REWARD. The same goes with dos AMs and SHAMMIES. But I am a heretic, cos "1v1 doesn't count" so I'll shut my mouth.

when i say ranged KD i refer to SWs eye shot ofc. Eliminate certain abilities no matter which realm has them, please.

I think it's a lag problem. Sometimes you can't use pet's abilities because the pet is too far but you see the pet near you. The squig's disarm or the lion's KD don't work in this case. I've posted this problem on the bug report, Azarael gave me this answer.

SH's a relly annoying. And much more dangerous than sw's.
You know what the problem is? You can hide behind a wall and a sw won't be able to do anything to you, but you can't hide from a squig. Enemy not being able to use terrain to his advantage is a huge strength of sh.
And don't forget that sh can unleash his pet on you from a huge distance while staying out of your reach, effictively doubling or tripling his "operating range".
WL's can do all this as well, yes. But wl's have considerable cd on lion while sh can spam pets non-stop. You kill one, and he summons a pet of another type. You kill that, and he summons the next. Untill you're dead. Can't even run from a fast squig.
Maybe lower their speed? It seems like currently pets are faster than on live.

Unleash his pet? ...wow...

SH pet is garbage. Give me higher stats, more base damage, stances (especially instant double armor on the run without having to stop and summon), and RKD any day of the week!

It attacks me behind walls...meow...that is...so do engineers and white lions.

Loyal pet also keeps my squig with me and I need to be able to attack a target for it to attack. Maybe I need to turn it off so I can just sit back in SC at spawn and send my pet in against premades to slaughter them. Because pet damage is so high it's unguardable and can't be healed through.

I wouldn't call it garbage
It hurts clothes pretty well, provides decent spell push back to add pressure on healers.

They are a little buggy though with being out of range right in front of you but I doubt there's a lot to be done about that.


Want to nerf sh pet damage? Kill it. It doesn't take a whole lot to burn the pet.
