I feel that the damage charts were always a poor representation of how a SC went, anyone who bases skill off of damage numbers is not a good judge of skill...that being said it is always a nice feeling to see big numbers. For tanks the scenario board is just a pop-up to close (unless you are DA AoE spamming chosen)

Overall kills for your team, and wins is good start, in a group that's assisting, you can lose DBs to your team. An honest opponent will generally be the best judge of your skills. Playing against a superior opponent and learning from the experience is the best way of getting good.

"Good" players will always know whether or not they are good because of the Dunning–Kruger effect. A good player will always see ways to improve, ask questions, reflect on past experiences, try new things.

Db would be a better indication but the scoreboard in general lacks so much info and its always going to depend on the sc. If I go into a sc with no tanks and few heals then get focused by every enemy vs someone of the same class who is ignored the whole time does it mean I suck and the other guy is better? Not really.

Same can be said if I have no dmg but all the kills I just stole all the db but if I have all the dmg and no kills maybe I just aoed or beat on tanks for 15 mins.

With that being said I would love if they added a dmg taken stat to the end of sc screen. Would be nice to see just how damn much people go out of there way to attack me.

On the theory of what I look for from the numbers in a good sc I look for the following from a "good" sc, 3-1 kdr. 6k damage per db.

The 6k damage per deathblow is the average health of a player now. It shows how much real damage you are doing and normally accounts for steals pretty well.

The problem with dbs is there are some classes that are much better at getting them because of their cull abilities like WL/SW.

It happens. I think I still have a screenshot of a 54 db SC. Like I said it's a db to damage ratio I look for. If you are under the ratio you are hitting the wrong targets or using your burst inccorectly if you have more dbs than you're stealing them. Simple

I'm +1'ing everything TKLees said. I learned a ton about being a WH from just watching and inspecting him on live. I mean, I'm nowhere near as good as him, but hey, don't let the student ruin your impression of the teacher. :)

Appreciate that. I'm not anything special when it comes to playing. Only thing I am good at is knowing the classes. Who were you on live? It's nice to see a fellow Gorfang player hopefully
