Those are Executionners as pointed by Toldavf, not Blagckguards. I wouldn't be bothered by BG using 2H swords but there are people here who care about the lore, and since Executionners are not a class available to players it would be a bit breaking.
And on a more practical point of view, I don't think there's enough Dark Elf 2Hswords weaponry in game to have enough variations to work with, meaning it would be necessary to create new assets, and it would be a lot of work.

-Even if there is 1 model in game ppl would be glad to use it.

Well, Chosen as a class can technically be followers of any of the Chaos gods, so it's not really lore breaking for a character of the Chosen class to wear the armour of another god or use any variety of weapon (as weapon is irrelevant to them in terms of lore).

Black Guards, however, by definition only use halberds, so if your character is a Black Guard then using any other weapon would go against the lore basis of their class.

HOWEVERRRR...

I agree that Black Guards should in theory be allowed to use the two-handed executioner sword, because in WAR they can already use swords and shields (which goes against their lore) so what's the harm of letting them use a two-handed sword as well as long as it was purely cosmetic?

I personally think of the Black Guards in WAR as just being generic Dark Elf soldiers and not specifically Black Guards.

There was a LOTD 2 handed sword appearance that was meant for SM that was accidentally put on a BG glaive weapon from LOTD on live that the Blackguard could use until the dev fixed it. The BG uses the SM animation when wielding a 2 handed sword. What I would like to see is BG being allowed to use Chosen & SM 2 handed Sword's appearance for their glaive weapons. I wouldn't mind seeing SM & Chosen using each other 2 handed Sword's appearance as well or a SM using a glaive(lookup Phoenix Guard).

I think the more cosmetic options the better.

While i like the idea of letting SMs use a Halberd, i would only like them to use the pheonix guard mob halberd (cosmetic only), not a big fan of the idea of letting BGs use chaos weapons, though i would like to see cosmetic options that allow a chosen to dual-wield. I am a big lore fan so I would like to option the character options to allow a more expansive Warhammer alliance that utilizes the full strengths of each forces units.


I wish that there was more of a choose your career path. you start as a dark elf warrior, do you become a Blackguard, or a Cold one knight, Which Chaos God does your Chaos Warrior become a Chosen of, etc. There is still an element of this in the imagination of the player and the aesthetic of the armour as you level, but it would have been nice to have some in game reinforcement.

I never understod mythics design decision, Why is Chosen the only Tank class in the game that both have 2h axe and greatsword? All other Tank classes are locked into 1 type of 2 hander, i would love to see that BG get a specific 2 handed sword aswell as a type of spear for Kotbs (Since some of the Kotbs npc's have spears)

The problem with the concept is that i kinda doubt there are any other models except the once we have seen on other Npc's/Guards, And i dont think the devs would waste their time creating custom weponds even if it was only for apperance, Atleast not for now.

There is a much more deeper design holes with Chosens really.
I.e. this is CHOSEN! Chosen of gods! Kinda CHAMPION! Only gods after him!

Well essentially, you are a Chaos Warrior till you are become Chosen. Judging from the armour design I would say you only become a chosen once you hit Conqueror, you are just a pleb chaos warrior till then.
