How to check if the game is updated with the latest patch?

What the tittle says...im just curious...how to check if our game is updated with the latest patch of the DEVs? If you could add on the launcher the latest changelog or show in main menu screen the state of the patches...it would be pretty awesome...just an idea! What do you think?

Updates are serverside, not clientside.

Patches are always server side. No updates for the client.
