what was the point in removing salvage from epic gear u buy from mercheant?

I wasn't responsible for this, but let's put the question the other way around:
- Why should you be entitled to the easy salvage of epic gear bought from merchants?

wouldn't say it's ez, we fight hard for those medallions, and it was like that from start of game, and how u want us to get epic crit if we can't salvage the gear the talis come from?

magic/melee range/heal power same thing can only be obtained threw salvage...

i get the point from not being able to salvage gear that come form mercheant where u pay with gold... but medallions is still a rare drop

I'd say right now salvaging is the least rewarding, the harderst to level and the most expensive gathering skill in the game.

I don't. Though as I said, I didn't make the change, and thought you were referring to the purple ~R30 items available for gold in some of the vendors.

no epic gear u get from medalions from kill'z decimator gear etc.

I didn't say anything about that - as I didn't make the change, I don't know why it was done, so we'll have to wait for a DB developer to appear. I merely wished to express my lack of concern over inability to stack massive amounts of crit.
