Return of Reckoning

So I am having fun playing my SW and will be using him minly, but I was thinking of playing a tank during the down times of rvr.

I know there is no "best" to a lot of people, but in reality there is. One might be better at RvR nd one might be better at PvE or whatever, but what I am after is going to be a good levelling tank that will also be good at end game.

I think I am leaning to IB or the Knight. SM just doesn't really draw much interest unless it is hands ddown ahead of the others.

Anyone willing to do a quick break down on the tanks for me? If one is more sought after for RvR then that is the way I want to go, but if both are equal toward the end then maybe pro's and con's of each.

Any help is appreciated =)

Roll an IB, best tank in the game in my opinion. Then join the 3rd Bitterstone Thunderers guild, and you won't regret it.

Black orc, fantastic fronliner with a sick Blockrate (lvl 26 you can have a basic Blockrate 20%+sheild)
Chosen great instant damage + the auras against magic uses (fantasic cause order IS nothing but magic cowards)
Blazer good tick damage + great auras against melee (fantasic cause Des is mostly fronline)
BG and IB are very defensiv tanks by giving buffs. IB for fellow frontliner and BG for pockethealers and felloe frontliner(not that much, compared to IB)
Blademaster huge parry chance, worse then BO, but allright. Also elfs dont make armor for men.(i know Blademaster the least)

Ok so I am going IB...what is my pimary stat importance?

Well, one thing, ill kill you in T2, but Armor. toughness and wounds on IB

defensive stats:
block > resistances / armor > parry / dodge / disrupt

So toughness and wwounds...what about when I get renown points...what should the first 20 points ggo into?

tank SnB ibs start off by skilling up brotherhood, once they get grumble and mutter they will hands dont beat your every time, also at op you plan on going ib tank? then this is the spec for snb ib incase you didnt know:

the remaining one point you can use to get eathshatter aoe snare or punishing knock heal debuff

the renown points are their and you can respecialize till you find a renown build that works for you, if you want to go full def guard bot tank then drop all rr into tough, use rugged + ancestral inheritence and use nother but toughness/wounds sentry jewels and cloak

but where the fun in that you have like 170ish str and little dmg, on my ib i went snb dps spec, my gear is offensive with rvr chapter influnce gear that give str and ws, i slotted +16 tough tallis and stropped all my renown thus far into 4 lvls str and tough while using ancestral and rugged and using tough + ws jewels,all in all im durable and i can still put out some dmg
