Suddenly I can't log into the client. There is no failure message. The log-in status windows just stays clear.
After a few seconds I get a popup telling me the login timed out

The launcher works in admin mode, all files and folders are read / write flagged

Un-check read-only from your Warhammer Online folder.

I have the same problem."Login timed out". It was working perfectly until this morning.

I already checked the r/w status of the folder. The read only checkbox was already unchecked so that's not the problem

Is your data.myp/war.exe/warpatch.exe also unchecked individually?
A few people had literally the same problem yesterday/two days ago, and the solution was to simply reinstall the game.
If you still have the archive on disk somewhere, could you try that? I know it's probably not the most convenient solution, but it's the only one I know worked yesterday for the people who were able to log in before.

For me it's not working. EVERYTHING in the folder is read / write active.

I changed my password (written in small letters, no numbers, no special characters), some hours ago. Now I can't even enter the character view. It simply tells me that username / password are not correct. But the login to the forum works fine.

I like to get the login working before I catch the client from the net again

Now the password change works.

BUT: my problem with the game is still there: I got the WAR install package again but the game doesn't start
The client loads but the status window (right hand side) stays empty. Than after a view seconds the client freezes (it doesn´t react any more, the torches in the background freeze). Within the task manager I see a "critical error" message but I can´t access the failure message....
