the vendor gear is objectively better, no spirit res on your jewelry means sorc/magus/chosen are going to love you.
Granted wep skill is pretty trash, you are trading ~30 str in terms of power for almost 200 spirit res.

well it can be debated yes tho i think some def is granted to be sacrificed i think a mix will work just fine.
