Item lost, please help! Lessons of the Past

So I completed the quest Lessons of the Past some time ago. I'm a level 29 high elf swordmaster currently and i've been doing quite a bit of questing and just completed Lessons of Nature. This is when I realised I'm missing Orb II to upgrade to Orb III from completing this. I don't have the item anywhere to upgrade to Orb II in the shadowlands. Speaking to the quest giver doesn't do anything other than show his shop for trading for the upgrade. I must have accidentally discarded the Lessons of the Past item for this by mistake. Anyway this could be sorted for me?
