hello friends,
so a few days ago a finally managed to get RoR to a state where it no longer statters or lags while in big fights/sieges. i really got the feeling "this is how it should always be" but then i changed AMD settings for a different game and since that RoR began to just not run smoothly again. i really tried everything i could to fix it, changed settings back and forth a thousand times, with no success.
following here are my setups and graphical settings etc.
System:
AMD Ryzen 7 5700X 8-Core Processor 3.40 GHz
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7600
RAM 16,0 GB
Mainboard: B550 GAMING X V2
SSD Drive
Windows 11
Monitor MSI G27C4 - 165hz + Freesync ON
i started with the FPS guide for RoR on YT and on warcamp.com
hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling is ON
Variable refresh rate is ON
i use borderless Fullscreen bc of second monitor and thats not the issue bc it worked like this before just fine.
also tried to use RTSS to manage FPS
i start to get insane here so hopefully someone can help me out.
cheers

Are you using Buffhead?
If so, lower the ability update interval to 2s and see if it improves.
It was killing my game (performance-wise).

i will but the game once ran without problems without changing buffheads settings
€: cant find "ability update interval" only "priority update delay" or general update delay" or "start priority updates at"

Delete the cache and the chat log files too. (I had a chat of 5gbs after years playing... lol)
Remember decrease the chat lines on game settings
Edit: was my fault, i was talking about "general update delay" to 2s

Check the folder "logs" and see if there are a superchat file with a lot of GBs. And don't forget decrease the chat Scroll limit to 2000 or lower (in game-> Esc->User settings->Chat)
By the way, try install the game again on another folder and play on it, without addons and with the default interface, and test it. If works fine, copy the addons and interface from the older folder and try again.
Are you asing any addon for DPS log or similar?

the largest file in logs folder was 39KB.
so i just reinstalled the full game and with my usual setup of addons etc. its working fine for now. sometimes small freezes in lakes. lets see how long this lasts
thank you for your advice
€: weird thing is that the warcamp.com guide seemed to be the problem. i copied the vulkan file and config into the folder and the stattering returned. so i just deleted them.

Hello, Where are the chat logs? Is there a central Chat Log, or is everything divisible by individual created characters?
