Return of Reckoning

Hi Community,

ive seen the recently added ring collection and the needed ressource to "purify" the rings from bastion stairs called "Liquid Serenity".

Searching the wiki for information they end mentioning a questchain you have to do inside bastion stairs - no further information. I asked in advice for help and got no hints whatsoever. Couldnt find any topic in the forum covering that question either.

Arguably the rings from BS are more or less "not usable" for many classes/playstyles without beeing "finished", so there should be a common, larger interest through all players in how to make use of those new items.

Can someone help?

IIRC it is an item you obtain from one of the quests at the NPC at the entrance. A quest which got reworked and require you to do some things in the middle wing, after finishing some steps you finish the quest and it become a followup repeatable to get this material to purify a ring and remove the green letters-ability on the ring.

I assume it is as you discribed. Thing is: Which quest do you have to follow? There are plenty in the entrance and i finished all you can do without any sidehustle on a normal BS run. And since (at least me) I normally only find PUG BS grps there isnt much options to test around or "get some guys involved in doing BS quests no one knows how and where to do them nowadays".

Im not here to get carry through all babysteps but an information which quest(chain) has to be started in the first place would be a great start. if there would be more information on how many runs are needed to receive one "Liquid Serenity" and if any of it is luckbased, id be the happiest

The "Mysterious Knight" Npc, that is mention behind that link, who is, according to the entry, giving you that starting quest stands in the hall at the start but only gives you the "On Your Marks..." speedrun task and nothing else. At least for me - on three different chars tested.

Are there different Knights?
Is there maybe a different quest to finish that he introduces you to a new quest?

or is it simply not implementet yet? An option more and more likely to me since i havent seen any on order wearing a finished ring, talking about it or someone who could help on any questions i asked in advice ^^

A thought arrived with this post, can the purification item be also usuable on the Bastion weapons? For the Removal of the 5% dmg increas for 10% armor/tough?
Tanks or heals would be interested in such a change... probably?

Especialy if it would be reverasable.

Cann we finish "How to get Liquid Serenity" before we discuss the usage options?

And so far i only saw a vendor for the rings where you need to have one of these not for any other gear

the quest is inside Bastion where all the quest givers are.

As i already wrote: Its not. Checked it with 3 Chars.

The quest giver "Mysterious Knight" mentioned does not give any other quest then the speedrun quest.
The quest name "Banishing The Skull Lord" cant be found in the entrance area no matter which quest giver im talkin to

If you read the text of the quest:

We have scoured the canker of corruption from our ranks in ending the Thar'Ignan's reign of bloodshed, but much remains before we may return to Altdorf with our heads held high. The corruptive heart of the Bastion Stair still lives, spreading its mantle of rage over all who enter this place. That heart must be cut out, Player, and the doorway to the realms of Chaos closed.

It says "...ending the Thar'lgnan's reign...".

If you look at the other quests on the page that was linked to you, you see the text requirements mention a requirement to Kill Thar'Ignan.

So, one quest implies that you have ended Thar'lgnan's reign, which you can't find...and another mentions that you need to Kill Thar'lgnan. Perhaps suggesting that there's a chain here?

Have you done the other quest?
