X-realming destroys realm pride and the timer is a joke :(

I recently came back to this game and am absolutely amazed by the work/dedication from the team. I am working on bringing players over on youtube as well as just conversation with friends who are looking for a good PvP/Realm mmorpg. The problem i'm having though is the cross-realming. I know this is a touchy subject for many as playing "both" factions allows people to experience classes and more content. The issue arises though in a lack of community, realm pride, and equal faction growth.
The timer really needs to be looked into. Having a lockout timer that literally allows someone to go eat dinner, watch a quick show, and return on the other faction is nothing more than a lunch/dinner break. This causes lack of realm community, pride in the RvR war, and really leans into token farming and the mentality of "winning" is all that matters.
I have been following the 24hr-weekly-monthly charts now for a minute, and im noticing the same trajectory. Whatever side is crushing, suddenly gets a spike of players, then falls flat and moves to the other side. (although its still heavily slanted Destro) Please, Have you thought about actually enablilng a deterrent for this pattern? Yes I know the arguments, 2 accounts, make a vpn, etc...but Dark Age of Camelot really excelled due to "Realm Pride." There was a sense of community and this is what caused reputation to matter and mean something.
Just a suggestion, possibly 24hrs of NO tokens or RR xp after fighting for a faction. Keep the current timer if they really want to switch over and play their other character fine, but at least this will limit x-realming and faction farming.
thanks for the ear.
