The Big 8th Grade History Final

I equate those stressing over class balance, gear, talisman size (I call it T-peening), and other things like those in game right now to that big history final you sweated over way back in the 8th grade. In the grand scheme of things, it was less than even a blip on the radar. Once you moved past it, it was forgotten. You learned new skills, had new experiences, and all this added up to making that big scary 8th grade history final an absolute joke.
To the extent that if or when this free, private server allows us to 40, and IF everything that went with it; Renown Ranks and level 40 gear, specs etc. is in this free, private server version of WAR, then what you will have is the same "imbalance" of organized, well geared, well specced 6-mans farming the lakes for disorganized, undergeared, poorly specced, pug warbands and a very few good to great players trying to get the PuGs to work as a team and lead them. Just like on the Live Servers 5-6yrs ago. AS WELL AS those same 6-mans going heads up against other similar 6-mans in SCs that will be epic.
Winning a fight now in RvR now means nothing unless we are allowed to keep increasing in levels and IF renown specs and RvR Gear Sets become available. The minor imbalances are simply challenges to overcome. You will not overcome these challenges in a PuG usually, as mostly these imbalances require teamwork, timing, and a very good plan to beat.
I'm not worried about the FoTM class due to some bug that 1-shots players RIGHT NOW. IF or when we get to the "end game" on this free, private server of RoR, I'll be more concerned about it. My experience with private servers is they usually end up with a lesser version of the original. Either the owner goes all Jimmy Hoffa and disappears, allowing for chaos and eventually no fixes and lost players, or they meddle too much in what it was they were trying to emulate in the first place, causing unforeseen ripple effects down the line that break the game for one class, faction, or spec.
So to the playerbase who feels slighted by the FotM class or the "bug" that gives one spec of one class the iwin button right now I say this; Relax. Work on your teamwork. Work on your strategies, build your teams, grow your guild with good players. If you do these things now, at 40 (if we get there) you'll look back at the level 26 FotM classes and laugh...just like that big, 8th grade History Final.
