Return of Reckoning

I have over 560 unread messages in my Auction inbox, and now the inbox doesn't even load the messages, it keeps saying "No Messages". Is there a way to make the auction messages visible again without losing them? I've been having this problem for a week now, so any read messages I had there must be expired already.
