yes, i dont think you get value going that high with BS. Even softcapping BS is not super important.
I run with 940ish BS+ proc from triumphant and 750-830 WS depending what spec im using. if you run snipespec then armor penetration starts to play big role in your dmg very soon.

Also engi is a bit squishy if going full dmg spec. I run 760 wounds+ 60 from lini and frequently blow up to good dps WE. I reckon 8000 hp is kinda good spot to aim for.
