Return of Reckoning

For the past 3 weeks the game has been almost unplayable for me. Forts and large scale RVR causes constant crashes. I've deleted my cache folder, updated drivers, gotten rid of outdated addons. I've never had this problem before. When I ask in chat no one else has issues. Is it a regional issue with servers (PST)? Are there any fixes I can do on my end? ill try reinstalling game next. Any help would be appreciated.

I used to have this problem. If I remember rightly, I was running the 32bit client, rather than 64bit client, so any sort of large scale content just killed the game. Switching to 64bit solved it.

I can't remember where / how to make the switch (can't see option in launcher....) so no idea where to check! But it's there somewhere.


Other option I can think of that made a big change for me in large scale was names / font. If you've got all names turned on, using the default font, it can really kill FPS and crash a game at forts. Simply changing the font helps, i think the default is resource hungry. But, I prefer to keep all names (enemy and ally) turned off, except for those im targeting. It massively helps with FPS and stability, but its also just very clean and much easier on the eyes.
